Nha Trang City People's Committee is proposing investment projects to improve urban infrastructure on the East side of Tran Phu - Pham Van Dong Street. After the above project is approved, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee will direct the rearrangement of projects and constructions on the East side of Tran Phu Street.
From 2023 to present, the government has revoked a number of projects and constructions on the East side of Tran Phu Street such as Nha Trang Sao Cultural, Entertainment and Sports Park Project; Evason Ana Mandara Resort project in Bai Duong area, East side of Tran Phu Street (for the sea surface area of 10,000m2 and the land area of 20,166m2).
Regarding the T378 Resort – the Ministry of Public Security will relocate after the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police Guest House is completed. In addition, Invest Park Nha Trang Company Limited has handed over the area of 21,722m2 of the Phu Dong Park Project to the Nha Trang City People's Committee for management from January 2023.
In September 2024, Nha Trang City People's Committee reported on the investment project to renovate urban infrastructure on the east side of Tran Phu and Pham Van Dong streets.
The renovation project is located on the 16.4km long Nha Trang coastal road with a land area of 253ha.
This project has a starting point near the Do theater and an ending point near An Vien urban area.
This place is divided into 4 sub-areas including park and marina, cultural heritage park, long coastal park, and sightseeing park. Of which, 15 projects use state budget, 6 projects use central capital, and the rest are mobilized from enterprises.
Nha Trang City People's Committee estimates that if investing in 15 projects from the State budget, it will require a huge cost of about 3,200 billion VND. It is necessary to consider, evaluate and prioritize each investment item.
Nha Trang authorities have proposed two phases of investment in projects using state budget capital on the coastal road. In phase 1 (2024-2026), priority will be given to funding of VND500 billion to build Tran Phu pedestrian bridge, coastal park 4, and bicycle lane from Hon Chong to Bach Dang park.
Phase 2 (2026-2030) with a capital of 500 billion VND will invest in the remaining projects. The sports complex park will call for investment until the end. In case it cannot call for investment, it will be built with state budget capital.
