Bach Dang commune, Tan Uyen city, Binh Duong province is located between two branches of the Dong Nai river. Bach Dang commune has four sides, all of which are rivers. Previously, people in Bach Dang Islet could only travel by ferry. In 2007, Binh Duong province started construction of Bach Dang bridge connecting Bach Dang commune with Uyen Hung ward, Tan Uyen city.
Bach Dang Bridge is 340 m long, 11 m wide, and 7 m wide. In July 2010, the bridge was officially inaugurated. However, to get through Dong Nai, people on the islet still have to travel by boat.
In 2021, Binh Duong province continued to start construction of Bach Dang 2 bridge to connect Bach Dang Islet with Vinh Cuu District, Dong Nai Province.
The project has a total investment of nearly 500 billion VND. The total length of the route is 945.81 m with 4 lanes. Of which, the bridge section is 401 m long, the approach road section is 544 m long.
In addition, Binh Duong province invested in a project to build a road leading to Bach Dang 2 bridge (Binh Duong side) with a length of about 2.68 km, a scale of 4 lanes, and a total investment of 327 billion VND. Currently, the approach road has been completed and can be used smoothly from Bach Dang bridge to Bach Dang 2 bridge.
Binh Phuoc people can cross Bach Dang bridge to Dong Nai
The investment in building bridges and completing access roads has added a traffic route connecting Binh Duong province with Dong Nai. According to records, people in Binh Phuoc can travel through Bach Dang bridge to Dong Nai province conveniently.
