On February 20, when TBM 1 dug the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro tunnel through the area of Lane 7 Giang Van Minh (Kim Ma Ward, Ba Dinh, Hanoi), an incident occurred where an additive was sprayed on the ground, affecting many households.
By February 23, the additive had not yet swollen, and cleaning work was carried out. Initially, the construction contractor supported 30 affected households with 1 million VND per household.
According to PV on February 25, only 1 house (located on the road of the TBM 1 - PV tunnel excavator) is being cleaned both inside and outside by the investor and contractor.
Some households that had to temporarily relocate (from February 17 to PV) also returned home to check their belongings and clean their houses.
"Today we were allowed to open the seals of our houses for inspection. Fortunately, the incident did not affect the inside, mud only shot into the door area, so cleanup had to be carried out.
According to the plan, we will not return home until March 18. Hopefully, there will not be a similar incident in the near future when the second excavator passes," the people shared.
It is known that these are households at risk of being affected when TBM tunnel excavators pass by.
In each house, the contractor has installed a technical geological monitoring system to ensure monitoring and tracking the movement and subsidence of the land on the TBM road.
According to the Hanoi Urban Railway Project Management Board (MRB), the TBM 1 "Thanp" tunnel excavator has approached the S10 station.
Previously, in early February 2025, the TBM 2 tunnel excavator "Tau Bold" of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro project was also officially started.
Like the " expressway" TBM, the "Daring" TBM started drilling the second tunnel from Station S9 - Kim Ma at a depth of 17.8m. The machine will accelerate to a standard speed of about 10m/day to reach the next stations.
According to the diagram of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro underground section, TBM 2 runs parallel to TBM 1, also passing through a residential area where an additive spraying incident has just occurred.

Kim Ma Station (S9 Station) is the first underground station of the project. This location is in Ngoc Khanh ward, Ba Dinh district, right at the foot of Vinhomes Metropolis.
From Kim Ma station towards Giang Vo intersection is the location of Cat Linh underground station ( choice station S10). This station is located on Cat Linh Street, under Pullman Hanoi Hotel.
Van Mieu Underground Station (S11 Station) is located at the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam intersection. From here, the train will go towards Tran Quy Cap to reach Hanoi Station.
S12 underground station is located next to the Tran Hung Dao - Le Duan intersection, right in front of the Hanoi Station gate. This is an underground station and the final stop of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro line.
