On September 7, at Provincial Road 156, according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, many sections of the billion-dong traffic project have been paved with asphalt. Currently, the travel process of people in these areas is much more convenient.
In addition to the areas where the asphalt has been completed, along the road, many machines are being mobilized to construct the Notes, and the project will be handed over for use soon.
Along with that, some areas of the project are implementing construction of items such as trees, landscape and drainage.
Mr. Bui Duc Tuyen ( Bat Xat commune, Lao Cai province) said: "Many sections of Provincial Road 156 have been paved with asphalt, so we travel extremely easily and conveniently. The landscape along the Red River is also becoming much more neat and airy. Therefore, people hope that the project will soon complete the entire route so that the traffic infrastructure is more synchronous".
Also on this traffic route, the border bridge project across the Red River is being urgently constructed. After completion, the bridge will help promote trade between Lao Cai and China, leading to the development of the surrounding area.
Through research, the investment project to build a border bridge over the Red River in Ban Vuoc commune and connecting infrastructure includes 3 components, implemented in the period of 2021-2025.
In which, component 1: Construction of a border bridge across the Red River; upgrading Provincial Road 156 (Kim Thanh - Ngoi Phat) from the intersection with BV32 and BV28 roads to the intersection with BV190 road (3km long); upgrading and renovating the Noi Bai - Lao Cai IC 18 expressway intersection.
Component 2 includes: Upgrading Provincial Road 156 (Kim Thanh - Ngoi Phat) from Quang Kim Bridge to the intersection with BV32 and BV28 roads (8km long) and leveling the road on both sides with a depth of 50m.
Component 3: Upgrading and renovating the IC19 intersection.
Total investment: 1,490 billion VND, Central budget support 950 billion VND, Local budget matches 540 billion VND.
The construction units are Minh Duc General Construction Company Limited, Cuong Thinh Thi Construction Investment and Development Joint Stock Company and Dong Hung Development Investment Joint Stock Company.
According to the Lao Cai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the construction of Provincial Road 156 and BV21 has now handed over 100% of the site for construction.
Up to now, on Provincial Road 156, the roadbed and surface have been basically completed. The contractor is completing before handing over and putting it into use. The construction value of the construction and installation part reached 96%.
In package No. 9, the construction of BV20 Road has now handed over 2.6/3km of the site. The contractor has completed 1.1km of paving; is implementing the construction of the foundation and foundation for the joint arrangement.
It is expected that by December 31, 2025, the project will complete the remaining 1.2km; at the same time, complete the median strip and traffic safety system for handover and use.
