Dong Nai - Tri An Hydropower Company increased the amount of water discharged through the spillway to 480m3/s and the water flow through the turbine to generate electricity from 340 m3/s to 600 m3/s.

Accordingly, at 9:00 a.m. on November 18, the water level upstream of the reservoir was more than 61.6 m; the water flow to the reservoir was 1,030 m3/s; the water flow through the spillway was 320 m3/s; the water flow through the power turbine was 558 m3/s.

Based on the water flow to Tri An Lake, upstream water levels and discharge information of the above-mentioned hydropower plants, Tri An Hydropower Company will increase the amount of water released to regulate the reservoir.

Accordingly, from 8:00 a.m. on November 19, the water flow through the spillway was 480m3/s; the water flow through the power turbine: from 340 m3/s to 600 m3/s (with a capacity of 180MW to 300MW depending on the mobilization method of the National Weather), raising the total water flow downstream from 820 m3/s to 1,080 m3/s.

Depending on weather developments, water flow to the lake, water level of Tri An Hydropower Reservoir, water level downstream at Bien Hoa hydrological station, the Company can flexibly regulate water flow through the spillway.

Tri An Hydropower Plant has 4 generators, with a total designed capacity of 400MW. This is the largest hydropower project in the Southern region, contributing greatly to the national grid, helping to regulate domestic and production water sources, push salinity and regulate floods in downstream areas.
