Completion of asphalting of National Highway 13 overpass and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street in Ho Chi Minh City

On September 14, units are urgently constructing to complete the overpass project across National Highway 13 and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street under the Ring Road 3 HCMC project section through old Binh Duong province.

The overpass project is about 1 km long and passes through Phu Hoa ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The project spans 2 major roads, connecting urban areas in Thu Dau Mot and Phu Loi wards. The overpass is the optimal solution to avoid traffic conflicts between Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City and two roads that are both regional and urban traffic connections.

After more than two years of construction, the overpass project is about to be completed. According to records, the overpass beam has crossed National Highway 13. From the beginning of 2026, the units entered the completion phase, pouring concrete for the bridge deck, and then proceeding with asphalt paving.

Similarly, on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street, the overpass has completed smooth asphalt paving. Units are waiting to paint lanes. The connecting road section at both ends of the overpass has also been completed and asphalt paving has been completed.

Currently, the contractor is constructing a parallel road at the foot of the bridge. On Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street, vehicles are regulated to circulate onto the bypass to construct the intersection. In addition, the section from Nguyen Thi Minh Khai overpass to Binh Chuan intersection, more than 1 km long, is also being urgently constructed. Most of it has been asphalted, and units are entering the completion phase of this route section.

Talking to reporters, the Ho Chi Minh City Transport Board (investor of the Ring Road 3 HCMC project section through old Binh Duong) said that the unit has requested contractors to focus on asphalting to complete the section from Binh Chuan intersection to National Highway 13 in October 2026.
