According to records, the Binh Chuan intersection project (Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project section passing through the old Binh Duong area) is being accelerated.
This project started construction in June 2023, and has been under construction for more than 3 years now.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Transport Board, to date, the project has achieved about over 72% of the contract value. Important items such as the roadbed, overpass, and underpass have basically completed the structural part.
Recorded at the scene, the important item of the intersection is the overpass that has been built across My Phuoc - Tan Van road. However, vehicles cannot yet travel on My Phuoc - Tan Van, functional units are still regulating vehicles to enter the bypass road. Currently, the project is entering the completion phase.

The Ho Chi Minh City Transport Board said that the construction process of Binh Chuan intersection encountered many difficulties in traffic organization, the reason is that Binh Chuan intersection is located on a road being exploited. The actual construction work outside the site combined with traffic regulation and diversion is very complicated.
In addition, at the beginning of 2026, raw material prices increased sharply. At the same time, the scarcity of imported asphalt also directly affected the construction deployment situation of contractors and the progress of the bidding package.

The Ho Chi Minh City Transport Board said that it has requested construction units to focus on paving the overpass asphalt to complete the Binh Chuan intersection in October 2026.
It is known that the Binh Chuan intersection project belongs to construction package No. 2 of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project section passing through old Binh Duong. This intersection project has a length of 1.3 km, including the expressway section, overpass, underpass... with a total investment of about 570 billion VND.
