On the evening of October 26, Mr. Le Trung Thuc - Chairman of the People's Committee of Tra Tap Commune, Da Nang City - confirmed to Lao Dong that a tragic accident had just occurred in the area, causing a third-grade student from Xuan Dang to die, due to being swept away by water.
According to initial information, in the afternoon of the same day, the victim - a student at Chu Van An Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities - while playing in front of his house in Tu Gia roof (Tra Tap commune), unfortunately slipped into the rushing water.

She was swept away by floodwaters into a drainage pipe. Although the family discovered and quickly tried to save him, because the water was too strong, when he was taken up, he died.
Immediately after receiving the news, local authorities visited, encouraged and supported the victim's family to overcome the loss.
Mr. Le Trung Thuc added that in recent days, Tra Tap commune has had prolonged heavy rain, strong water flows from upstream, and many residential areas have been eroded and isolated. The locality has proactively notified students to be off school today and tomorrow (October 27).

According to the natural disaster prevention plan, the commune government has planned to evacuate and interspersed about 200 Xo Dang households in areas at high risk of landslides, while ensuring adequate food and medicine for people during the flood.
