Although not the center of storm No. 13 Kalmaegi, strong winds and heavy rain over the night of November 6 caused dozens of houses in many communes and wards in Da Nang City to have their roofs blown off and damaged.
On the morning of November 7, the government and mobile military forces went to each residential area, prioritizing support for households that suffered heavy damage.

According to preliminary statistics from the Command of the Defense of Area 4 - Ban Thach Ward (Da Nang City), the entire area has 77 houses with unroofed and damaged roofs. Of which, Ban Thach ward had 20 houses, Tay Ho commune had 16 houses, Tam Anh commune had 41 houses; 7 houses had their roofs completely blown off. Many auxiliary works and fallen trees caused local traffic congestion.
In the morning, the Defense Command of Region 4 mobilized all standing forces and militia and self-defense forces, dividing them into many mobile working groups to each residential area. The key task is to rebuild corrugated iron roofs, clear fallen trees, clear sewers, move assets to help people; at the same time, coordinate with local authorities to review and count damage to urgently support disadvantaged households.
In Tra Tap commune (Da Nang city), at least 20 houses had their roofs blown off and were severely damaged by the storm. National Highway 40B near Tra Giac quarry continues to slide down, temporarily unable to circulate.
"Fortunately, before the storm, we evacuated all households in the vulnerable area to safety, so there were no human casualties" - Mr. Le Trung Thuc - Chairman of the Commune People's Committee said.

Tra Linh commune also recorded heavy rain and strong winds, causing 6 houses in Mang Priu village, village 3 to have their roofs blown off, and the authorities had to urgently evacuate people at night.
The impact of storm No. 13 caused many inter-village and inter-commune roads to collapse, causing soil and rocks to overflow to the bridge area, obstructing traffic and posing a potential risk of insecurity.

Previously, the entire Da Nang area evacuated 4,619 households/12,481 people to avoid storm No. 13. In which: 43 households/1,222 people were evacuated, 4,184 households/11,259 people were interspersed.
