On the morning of March 15, Rehabilitation Center No. 1 (Xuan Thoi Son commune, Ho Chi Minh City) organized for trainees who are in the process of treatment and recovery to participate in voting for the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term.
Under the guidance of management staff, each trainee successively received ballots and directly voted into the ballot box according to the correct procedure. Many trainees expressed their emotion when participating in this special democracy day. This is also a motivation for them to continue training, determined to give up drugs, return to their families soon and reintegrate into the community.


Lieutenant Colonel Pham Tan Thanh - Head of Rehabilitation Center No. 1, Ho Chi Minh City Police said that the unit has proactively coordinated with the People's Committee of Xuan Thoi Son commune to review and establish a separate polling station.Immediately after the opening ceremony this morning, 139 officers and soldiers and 1,081 addicts who met the conditions conducted elections in accordance with regulations.Previously, Xuan Thoi Son Commune Police coordinated with the Center to review the list, verify information and directly issue voter cards to each student, ensuring that all eligible citizens have the right to vote.
"The students are very excited to exercise their citizenship rights, proactively learn about the biographies of delegates to make objective choices.We hope this will be a motivation for them to actively receive treatment, learn a profession, soon reintegrate into the community and be able to directly vote at their place of residence in the following terms," Lieutenant Colonel Thanh shared.
The organization of voting for students not only ensures citizens' rights but also shows profound humanity in the management and education of the People's Police force. The votes sent today carry hope for a new journey, where each student will strive to work, study, and undergo therapy to soon return to their families and communities, build a good life and become useful people for society.
