On the morning of March 15, Ms. Tran Thanh (91 years old, Quan Thanh, Ba Dinh ward, Hanoi) woke up early, asked her daughter to take her to ballot box No. 2, Ba Dinh ward to vote for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
Due to his old age and weak legs, he had to ride a wheelchair to the voting area.
Seeing the atmosphere of people flocking to vote, Ms. Thanh said she felt very excited.
I have carefully researched the information about the candidates. I hope that those who are selected will help people's lives be warm and happy" - Mr. Thanh said.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Pham Thi Hong Sim (78 years old, residential group No. 6, Ba Dinh ward) said that she feels honored to be one of the first people to participate in voting today. According to Ms. Sim, the election is of great political significance because it was held right after the 14th Party Congress. At the same time, this is also a milestone when our country organizes elections for the first time in the context of implementing the two-level local government model.
As a voter who has participated in elections for many years, Mr. Sim said that voters always consider carefully before voting.
I have studied the biographies of candidates to choose those who are truly dedicated, qualified, virtuous, and intelligent. They must be people who can represent the people and protect the rights of the people at both central and local levels," Ms. Sim shared.
Mr. Sim expressed his expectation that voters' votes will select worthy delegates to the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels. According to him, elected delegates need to promote intelligence, contribute opinions and suggestions to build and improve the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws, contributing to the country's development.
We hope that the delegates will work with the National Assembly to plan sound policies so that the country develops more and more prosperously and civilized, people's lives are increasingly improved, and Vietnam's position is increasingly affirmed in the international arena" - Ms. Sim said.
