On the afternoon of August 1, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee held a launching ceremony to increase civil servants and public employees to the grassroots.
According to the decision of the Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, 260 civil servants, public employees, and workers at the provincial level are seconded to work in communes, wards, and special zones in need throughout the province. The dispatch period is 3 months.

This is a timely policy, in the context that Lam Dong has operated a 2-level government apparatus after a month. However, in practice, there are still difficulties that need to be prioritized, especially the shortage and inappropriate arrangement of civil servants and public employees at the commune level.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee - emphasized: civil servants and public employees who have increased to the commune level must be the ones to solve the problem, not the ones to observe.
At the same time, coordinate with local officials to immediately handle any backlogged work or blocked records. In particular, the enhanced cadres must be the ones to guide, "hand the hand in direction of work", transfer knowledge, and foster skills for grassroots cadres.

According to the list, civil servants and public employees at the grassroots level will support in many fields: justice, civil status; accounting; office; information technology; land, natural resources; construction; finance; internal affairs; labor; health; agriculture; education; ethnicity, religion; industry; information culture. Of which, the information technology sector needs the most support because the whole province has up to 93 communes and wards without full-time civil servants in information technology.
In addition to the administrative block, the armed forces also increased 370 police officers and 100 military officers to the grassroots.
These are all young cadres with high professional capacity, selected to support the resolution of difficulties and problems in the operation of local government at both levels.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thu - Deputy Head of the Emulation and Reward Department, Department of Home Affairs, one of the participants in the secondment - shared: "This is an honor and a challenge. I will put all my efforts and intelligence into working with commune-level cadres to effectively operate the government apparatus, closer to the people and closer to the people".
3 months of secondment at the grassroots level is considered a golden time for civil servants and public employees to promote their expertise, contribute to the revolution of streamlining the apparatus and improving the efficiency of commune-level operations.
