Land in industrial parks and clusters has been filled
Dak Lak currently has Hoa Phu Industrial Park in operation with an area of over 180 hectares. In addition, the whole province has 8 other industrial clusters in operation and 1 industrial cluster under construction of infrastructure, with a total land area of 299 hectares.
According to the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, by the end of 2024, Hoa Phu Industrial Park will have 59 registered investment projects with a total capital of VND 5,956 billion. For operating industrial clusters, there are 175 projects registered for investment with a total registered capital of 7,000 billion VND.
According to the Dak Lak Province Industrial Park Management Board, currently, the land fund in Hoa Phu Industrial Park is no longer available.
Recently, a number of domestic and foreign enterprises have come to survey and seek industrial land funds to implement projects but have had to withdraw due to lack of land.
In this context, the unit has mobilized ineffective enterprises to transfer assets to investors with financial capacity to improve the efficiency of industrial land use.
Typically, in May 2024, 3 enterprises producing clean coal, tablets, and wood products transferred nearly 50,000m2 of land to a foreign-invested enterprise (FDI) to implement a textile and garment project, with a total registered investment capital of 10 million USD.
Planning the development of many industrial parks and clusters
According to the Dak Lak Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Government, Dak Lak province is planned to have 5 industrial parks.
Of which, there are 3 industrial parks to be implemented by 2050: M'Drak Industrial Park (300ha planned area), Ea Kar Industrial Park (480ha) and Ea H'leo Industrial Park (400ha).
By 2050, Dak Lak province will develop 26 industrial clusters. Buon Ma Thuot city has 4 industrial clusters; Ea Kar and M'Drak districts have 3 industrial clusters each; Krong Buk, Krong Bong, Lak, Ea H'leo districts have 2 industrial clusters each; the remaining districts have 1 industrial cluster each.
Regarding this, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee has directed departments, branches and localities to continue to speed up the progress of establishing, investing in construction and developing industrial clusters according to the plan. Thereby, it will be a basis for attracting production and business projects, contributing to the development of the province's industrial sector.
In particular, currently, the Dak Lak Provincial Industrial Park Management Board is completing procedures to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the industrial park project of more than 313 hectares in March 2025.
Mr. Dinh Xuan Dieu - Head of Dak Lak Province Industrial Park Management Board said that the unit is urgently completing documents and procedures for the Phu Xuan Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment, Construction and Business Project according to regulations.
"We started work right away, without waiting. We follow the Central style: Running and lining up at the same time, Mr. Dieu emphasized.
Dak Lak owns large areas of high-value raw materials such as: Rubber, coffee, pepper, butter, durian, sugarcane, cassava, rice, planted forest wood...
Currently, Dak Lak has a population of more than 1.9 million people. Of which, there are about 1.2 million people of working age, accounting for nearly 60% of the population.
In addition to Buon Ma Thuot Airport, the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway, when put into operation in 2026, will contribute to shortening travel time, saving transportation costs...
These are important advantages for Dak Lak to attract businesses to invest in manufacturing and processing factories.
