Quang Binh - Heavy rain and strong winds due to the influence of cold air caused 355 hectares of winter-spring rice in Le Thuy district to fall, many communes suffered over 50 hectares of damage.

According to the People's Committee of Le Thuy district, from the night of May 10 to the afternoon of May 11, 2025, the area will experience widespread thunderstorms with measured rainfall at some stations such as Lam Thuy (53.8mm), An Ma (58.2mm), Thai Thuy (36.2mm)... accompanied by strong winds. Unfavorable weather conditions have caused many areas of winter-spring rice during the harvest period to be severely affected.

As of 15:00 on May 11, the whole district recorded 355 hectares of rice falling. The most severe communes include: Tan Thuy (65ha), Hoa Thuy (60ha), Phu Thuy (53ha), Son Thuy (58ha), Xuan Thuy (48ha). At the same time, the district has issued a document requesting localities to be on duty 24/7, proactively mobilizing materials and human resources to promptly handle arising situations.

The district has also organized inspections at vulnerable dykes, requesting the review of high-risk points to have rescue plans when heavy rain continues. Standing forces for natural disaster prevention in communes have been activated, ensuring readiness to respond to all situations during this year's minor floods.
