On the afternoon of February 21, the People's Committee of Tra Vinh province organized the announcement of the Resolutions of the Provincial People's Council and the decisions of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on the arrangement of the apparatus and personnel work.
At the conference, Mr. Duong Hien Hai Dang - Director of the Department of Home Affairs - announced the Resolution recently issued by the Provincial People's Council on the arrangement of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee.
Accordingly, the Department of Finance was established on the basis of merging the Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Finance; the Department of Construction was established on the basis of merging the Department of Construction and the Department of Transport; the Department of Science and Technology was established on the basis of merging the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Information and Communications; the Department of Agriculture and Environment was established on the basis of merging the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; the Department of Home Affairs was established on the basis of merging the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religious Affairs was established on the basis of the Provincial Ethnic Committee receiving additional functions, tasks, and organizing the state management of religion from the Department of Home Affairs.
The newly established agencies will come into operation from March 1, 2025.
Also at the conference, the decision on personnel work of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tra Vinh province for 6 newly arranged and merged units was announced.
According to the decision, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong was appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Finance; Mr. Duong Van Ni was appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Construction; Mr. Pham Minh Truyen was appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Science and Technology; Mr. Tran Truong Giang was appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment; Mr. Duong Hien Hai Dang was appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Home Affairs; Mr. Kien Ninh was appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.
Also at the conference, the People's Committee of Tra Vinh province announced the decision on the temporary transfer and appointment of Ms. Pham Thi My Hanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications - to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Van Han - Chairman of Tra Vinh Provincial People's Committee - suggested that in the coming time, agencies should hand over and receive documents, finance, assets, facilities... between merged agencies, between agencies receiving or transferring functions and tasks to ensure the agency operates stably and effectively.
Newly established specialized agencies and agencies receiving and transferring functions and tasks shall review job positions, civil servant rank structures, civil servant professional title rank structures, and develop a job position project to submit to competent authorities for approval.
