After the flood in late July and early August, dozens of households in Hang Pu Xi village, Xa Dung commune, Dien Bien province lost everything. Houses and accumulated assets were swept away by the strong water.
Faced with these losses, the project to stabilize the population has been urgently implemented by the province.
Talking with Lao Dong, the leader of the Project Management and Land Fund Development Board of Area 2 (investor of the Hang Pu Xi residential settlement project) said that the goal of the project is to arrange and stabilize housing for 22 households who have completely lost their homes and households in areas at high risk of landslides.
The new resettlement area is built in a safe location (near the current Hang Pu Xi village), convenient on the road axis from Phi Nhu intersection, with a synchronous scale including: leveling the ground, building houses, internal roads, electricity and domestic water systems...

Up to now, the leveling work in Hang Pu Xi has reached about 80% of the volume. The first plots of land were handed over to the Military Command (CHQS) of Dien Bien province to build houses.
It is expected that the remaining lots will be handed over in the next few days according to the motto "wherever the foundation is laid, construction will be handed over".
The investor also said that the construction unit is maintaining a 3- shift labor intensity to ensure the progress of the project and the project reaches the finish line on time.

In the midst of the resettlement site, Mr. Mua A Sau, one of the households about to receive a new house, said: "During the recent flood, my family and many households in the village lost their houses, properties, and their lives were extremely difficult. Now that the Party, the State and the soldiers have come to rebuild the new house, we are very happy.
