On the morning of February 22, according to reporters of Lao Dong newspaper, the search for missing victims in the ship capsizing on Thac Ba Lake, in Bao Ai commune (Lao Cai province) is being urgently deployed by forces.
At 7:20 am on the same day, the forces found a victim, Hoang Duc M. (born 2015, residing in hamlet 1, Cam Nhan commune). There are still 5 people missing.


The forces mobilized more than 500 people including soldiers, police, militia and self-defense forces, along with local ships and boats and neighboring provinces to reinforce and support.
Regarding vehicles, the forces mobilized more than 50 boats, nearly 20 motorbikes, roller coasters along with "frogmen" from Phu Tho, Hai Phong to conduct diving searches for missing victims.
On the same morning, Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh was directly present at the scene to direct rescue and search for missing people.


Here, the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee emphasized: "This is a very painful matter, requesting relevant sectors to comprehensively review the work of ensuring waterway traffic safety, not to let similar incidents occur.
At the same time, directing functional forces to mobilize maximum manpower and vehicles to continue to urgently and highly focus on rescue and relief work, ensuring the safety of the area, in which priority should be given to the search for missing people.





Military, police, and medical units closely coordinate to deploy scientific rescue plans, absolutely not to delay.
Local Party committees and authorities organize visits, encouragement and have initial support policies according to regulations. Lao Cai Provincial Police need to urgently investigate and clarify the cause of the incident, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh informed.
