On the afternoon of May 13, the Project Management Board (PMU) met with the following parties: Phuc Son Group Joint Stock Company (investor), Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company No. 18 (construction unit), T27 Consulting Joint Stock Company ( design consultant), Thang Long Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company (supervision consultant) to discuss solutions to handle the incident on the overpass at Ngoc Hoi intersection with signs of serious cracking and subsidence, affecting traffic safety.

Mr. Cao Dinh Triet - Deputy Director of the Project Management Board - said that the meeting aimed to listen to reports from investors on the implementation status of construction, the current status of the project, and at the same time agree on a temporary technical handling plan for the damaged area.
Previously, many people reported that the overpass at Ngoc Hoi intersection had long cracks and deep subsidence points, which could be seen with the naked eye in the inner lane of the roundabout.
According to records, vehicles, especially motorbikes, when traveling through this area often vibrate strongly, easily lose control, and have the potential risk of traffic accidents.
Although the incident has occurred for many days, up to now, no authorities have organized an inspection, assessed the level of danger as well as announced the initial cause.
Ngoc Hoi intersection consists of 4 branches (N1, N2, N3 and N4), but so far only 3 branches have been put into operation. The N4 branch alone has not yet been implemented due to land clearance problems. The project was officially put into operation on September 2, 2023 after nearly 6 years of construction.
Expected to be an important intersection to help reduce traffic pressure at the western gateway of Nha Trang City, the recent damage has caused public concern about the quality of construction and supervision of the project.
The Project Management Board affirmed that it will closely coordinate with relevant units to handle the situation promptly, ensuring the safety of the people as well as the sustainability of this key traffic project.
