On June 23, Chairman of Hue City People's Committee - Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan - chaired a meeting to listen to the report on completing the medium-term public investment plan of state budget capital for the period 2026 - 2030 and the disbursement situation of public investment capital in 2026.
According to the Department of Finance, the medium-term public investment plan is built closely following the city's socio-economic development goals, aiming for an average GRDP growth of 10% or more and a budget revenue increase of 14 - 15%/year in the period 2026 - 2030.
Public investment resources are expected to focus on key areas such as transportation, urban development, economic - industrial zones, culture, tourism, health, education, science - technology, agriculture and environment. The city prioritizes dynamic projects, capable of creating growth, expanding development space and improving competitiveness.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Khac Toan emphasized that the medium-term public investment plan is not only about allocating capital but must become a development orientation tool, creating growth momentum for the city in the new period.
Chairman of Hue City People's Committee requested the Department of Finance to continue to improve the bases and methods of calculation, clarifying the relationship between total public investment capital, total social investment capital with a growth target of over 10%.
For the list of projects, units must prioritize transition projects, dynamic projects, social security, health, education, environment, defense, security and projects that have fully completed investment procedures.
Leaders of the City People's Committee also requested new projects or projects that have not completed procedures to complete dossiers before July 15, 2026. Projects that have not proven the necessity, are not clearly sourced or do not ensure efficiency will not be included in the official capital allocation plan.
Regarding revenue from land - an important resource in the public investment structure, the Chairman of Hue City People's Committee requested relevant agencies to carefully assess risks, proactively develop scenarios to balance resources and appropriate operating plans.
