The People's Committee of Hung Yen province has just issued a telegram on urgently overcoming the consequences of storm No. 10 and heavy rain. The storm moved quickly, with strong intensity, causing heavy rain, strong winds, tornadoes and flooding in many localities, causing damage to people, houses, transportation, electricity, telecommunications and agricultural production.
Some coastal communes and river mouths have rising water, total rainfall is generally from 40-100mm, directly affecting people's lives.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to visit and support the families of the victims, treat the injured, ensure accommodation and restore essential activities.
Specialized agencies review and repair traffic infrastructure, roads and waterways, electricity, telecommunications, environmental sanitation, check dykes, restore rice, crops, and seafood areas, and at the same time deploy disease prevention measures after the storm.
The Provincial Power Company focuses on fixing power grid problems, ensuring power supply for irrigation pumping and production. Environmental units and urban works collect waste, overcome the consequences of storms and whirlwinds, ensure environmental sanitation and traffic safety.
The Department of Health directs the treatment of injured people, the Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinates with localities to restore agricultural production, develop a technical program for crop care.
The Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Police, mass organizations and youth volunteers were mobilized to support the people, ensuring the safety of life and property. People's Committees at all levels synthesize the damage, specifically assess people, property and production to report to the province before October 8.
