According to the decision, Mr. Pham Van Nghiem - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Hung Yen - holds the position of Head of the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee has the function of advising the Provincial People's Committee in leading and directing the implementation of the Law on Social Insurance, the Law on Health Insurance, unemployment insurance and guiding documents for implementation; organizing the implementation of insurance coverage targets according to the Government's requirements.
One of the key tasks is to develop and assign targets for the development of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance participants to the annual socio-economic development plans of all levels, while mobilizing legal resources, combined with budget support to expand coverage, ensuring the completion of assigned targets.
The Steering Committee will also strengthen propaganda and dissemination of laws on social insurance and health insurance, innovate content and communication methods on mass media, create social consensus, help people clearly understand the benefits of participating in insurance, contributing to ensuring long-term and sustainable social security.
In addition, the Board is responsible for organizing inspections of enterprises that are late in paying or evading social insurance and health insurance, coordinating with tax authorities and labor management agencies to promptly correct violations. At the same time, deploy solutions to prevent and combat abuse of social insurance and health insurance regimes, protect the rights of participants and strictly implement legal regulations.
The consolidation of the Steering Committee is expected to contribute to improving management efficiency, expanding coverage of social insurance and health insurance, towards the goal of sustainable social security in the province.
