Driving forces from large-scale social housing projects
The report of the Ministry of Construction on the results of inspection and urging the implementation of the social housing target to be completed in 2025 assigned by the Prime Minister, Hung Yen has achieved many remarkable results.
In the 2021-2024 period, the province completed 2 projects with 1,002 apartments; the province is implementing 4 projects, with a total scale of 3,588 apartments. With the actual implementation situation, it is expected that in 2025, there will be 3 projects with 2,097 units completed, exceeding 20% of the target assigned by the Prime Minister (1,750 units).
Notably, among the projects under implementation is a low-income housing area in Pho Hien ward invested by Hung Yen Housing Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, with a scale of 1,088 apartments (4 blocks, no basement), under construction of the foundation and expected to be completed in 2025.
In addition, the Lac Hong Phuc social housing and commercial housing project in My Hao ward, invested by Lac Hong Phuc Development Investment Joint Stock Company, is currently completing 3 buildings with 649 apartments, also expected to be completed in 2025.
In particular, on August 19, Hung Yen province started the investment project to build a housing area for low-income people in Yen My II Industrial Park, Yen My commune, with an area of nearly 31 hectares, invested by Hoa Phat Yen My Development Joint Stock Company. The project has a total investment of more than VND 4,900 billion, built 27 apartment buildings, provided about 9,000 apartments, meeting the housing needs of about 11,500 people, mainly workers in industrial parks. There are 250 townhouses with commercial, service, cultural, medical, and school buildings. The project strives to be completed by the end of 2028.
According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hung Nam, the groundbreaking of the workers' housing project in Yen My II is an important milestone, demonstrating the consensus of the government, businesses and people in the goal of social security.
The project not only solves housing needs but also contributes to the implementation of major policies on social housing development. A home full of amenities and reasonable prices will help workers feel secure in their work, stick with the enterprise, thereby improving productivity and promoting economic growth.
Efforts to break through to exceed the target in 2025
According to Mr. Lai Van Hoan - Vice Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee, in 2025, Hung Yen will be assigned to complete 2,250 social housing units. The province has completed 649 units and is implementing the construction of 2,505 units. It is expected that in 2025, Hung Yen can complete 2,550 units, reaching 113% of the plan.
To complete this target, the province has synchronously implemented many solutions, including promptly implementing policies to remove difficulties according to Resolution No. 201/2025/QH15 dated May 29, 2025 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of social housing and Decree No. 192/2025/ND-CP dated July 1, 2025 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the resolution.
Hung Yen province also proactively plans and allocates land funds to implement social housing projects; simplifies administrative procedures; shortens the investor selection process... These efforts aim to ensure adequate housing supply, meet the needs of workers, while creating conditions to attract high-quality human resources to work and live long-term, contributing to the sustainable development of Hung Yen.
Modern and synchronous social housing areas will create a civilized urban appearance, enhancing the image of Hung Yen as a dynamic and livable city.
