According to a report by the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in the first 4 months of 2026, the production value of agriculture, forestry and fishery products in the first quarter reached 18,105 billion VND, an increase of 3.17% compared to the same period last year. The whole province cultivated 95,500 hectares of spring rice, reaching 100% of the plan; the area of colored crops reached about 24,500 hectares. Pest and disease prevention on crops and livestock was effectively implemented; diseases on livestock and poultry were well controlled, and dangerous diseases did not arise. Vaccination and disinfection were carried out synchronously in localities.
New rural construction work continues to be concerned. The Department is coordinating to develop the New Rural Construction and Sustainable Poverty Reduction Program for the period 2026 - 2030, striving to have over 70% of communes in the province meet new rural standards according to the new set of criteria by 2030. The OCOP program continues to develop with 593 OCOP products from 3 stars or higher.
In the field of land management, the Department has advised and submitted to the Provincial People's Council for approval the list of 1,072 projects and works that must be recovered land with a total area of more than 8, 221ha; promote the issuance of land use right certificates, build land databases, effectively implement the campaign to enrich and clean up land databases in the province...

Regarding the organizational structure, Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen requested the department to review more clearly the functions and full tasks of the sector; develop a project on job positions; review and restructure departments, branches, sub-departments, and affiliated public service units in a streamlined, scientific, and effective direction. In assigning tasks, the Director of the Department must promote the role of "conductor", clearly assign people, work, responsibilities, procedures, and effectiveness. In particular, for key and priority tasks assigned by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and provincial leaders, it is necessary to specifically assign a department leader to be in charge to focus on directing, monitoring, and organizing effective implementation....
