On January 23, the People's Council of Thanh Tri district, term XX, 2021-2026, held the 19th session (special session) to consider and decide to dismiss the position of Chairman of the District People's Council; complete the position of Chairman of the District People's Council, Head of the Legal Committee of the District People's Council.
At the meeting, the delegates of the District People's Council unanimously agreed to dismiss Mr. Dang Duc Quynh from the position of Chairman of the District People's Council, term XX, 2021-2026 (due to job transfer); and to elect Mr. Nguyen Tien Cuong - Secretary of the Thanh Tri District Party Committee to fill the position of Chairman of the District People's Council.
As a result, Mr. Nguyen Tien Cuong - Secretary of Thanh Tri District Party Committee was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the District People's Council, term XX, 2021-2026 with 100% of delegates attending the meeting in agreement.
In his new position, District Party Secretary and new Chairman of the District People's Council Nguyen Tien Cuong promised to maximize his ability, intelligence and qualities to successfully complete the assigned tasks, in order to meet the trust and expectations of delegates, voters and people in the district, contributing to the development of the district into a civilized and modern district, together with the capital and the country to realize the aspiration in the "New Era - the era of national development".
Also at the meeting, the Thanh Tri District People's Council elected an additional position of Head of the District People's Council's Legal Committee. As a result, Mr. Nguyen Sy Thanh, Chairman of the District Farmers' Association, was elected as Head of the District People's Council's Legal Committee for the 20th term, 2021-2026, with 100% of delegates attending the meeting approving.
