On the afternoon of October 18, the People's Committee of Soc Trang province held a conference to summarize the peak emulation period "15 days and nights to speed up the construction progress of Component Project 4 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Construction Investment Project Phase 1".
Last August, Soc Trang province launched a 15-day and night peak competition to speed up the construction progress of component project 4 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project phase 1 to celebrate National Day on September 2.
Mr. Thach Minh Hoai - Director of Project Management Board 2, project investor - said that during the 15 days of competition, with the spirit of "only discussing progress, not retreat", the project investor, supervising contractor, and construction unit worked day and night, working together to handle difficulties and problems right at the site and implementing the "3 shifts, 4 shifts" regime well.
The management team, engineers, supervisors, and workers of investors and businesses are diligently following the construction site and are enthusiastic in the construction operation. The construction supervision consultant regularly monitors the construction implementation and promptly reports to the investor the progress at the site to achieve technical and labor safety requirements.
The construction unit implemented the spirit of urgency to gather personnel, equipment, and materials to speed up progress, organize construction in "3 shifts, 4 shifts", "not enough work during the day, take advantage of working at night", "eat quickly, sleep urgently", "work continuously 24/7", "work through Tet, through holidays, through September 2nd holiday".
The output from August 15 to August 31, 2024 of the 4 bid packages reached 116 billion VND, of which 4 construction and installation bid packages achieved an average output of over 25 billion VND/bid package (achieving and exceeding the plan by 100 - 142%).
Speaking at the summary meeting, Mr. Lam Hoang Nghiep - Permanent Vice Chairman of Soc Trang Provincial People's Committee - requested the investor to regularly monitor and organize inspections to work with contractors to resolve difficulties and obstacles as soon as they arise, striving for the unit's disbursement rate to reach 95% or more.
The leaders of Soc Trang Provincial People's Committee requested the consulting and construction units to proactively coordinate closely, unite, be creative, and determined to organize and implement the project in accordance with the Prime Minister's directive of "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, not losing to the wind and storm"; not being negligent and subjective, having backup plans in case of adverse weather or damage. Focus on ensuring the health and benefits of workers, ensuring quality and absolute labor safety in accordance with the provisions of law.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Soc Trang province awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives and 10 individuals who excellently completed their assigned tasks and had outstanding achievements in the emulation period.
