After Lao Dong Newspaper reflected the situation of environmental pollution and traffic unsafety during the construction of the Kim Boi Commune Resettlement Area project, local authorities intervened to inspect and request relevant units to urgently rectify. Up to now, the existing problems have been basically resolved.
On February 11, according to reporters' records, the pollution situation in the project area has decreased significantly. Soil and mud scattered on the roads have been collected; the road surface has been cleaned up more than before. People's travel is basically convenient.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Dao Duy Hung - Vice Chairman of Kim Boi Commune People's Committee affirmed that the reflection of Lao Dong Newspaper is accurate. The locality has received opinions, invited contractors to work to thoroughly understand responsibilities and request to overcome environmental issues.
The commune's point of view is not to cover up, not to condone if there are violations. Up to now, the existing problems have basically been resolved," Mr. Hung said.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper recorded the reality in the Coc Lam hamlet area, Kim Boi commune showing dozens of vehicles and machinery operating continuously.
Soil and mud from trucks are not covered, spilling all over the people's road surface, making the road slippery when it rains, and dusty when it is sunny. Reporters directly witnessed motorcyclists falling in the area where soil trucks were circulating.
Local people said that collisions and traffic accidents have occurred many times since the project was implemented.
After the reflection, Kim Boi Commune People's Committee issued a document requesting the Project Management Board and contractors to review the construction plan, soil and rock transportation plan; thoroughly handle the situation of soil and rock falling; only allow vehicles to leave the construction site when fully ensuring safety conditions according to regulations.
The Kim Boi Commune Resettlement Area Project is invested by the Kim Boi Commune Construction Project Management Board, with a total investment of 120 billion VND, a scale of 107 land plots with about 428 people, and a usable area of about 7 hectares.
The joint venture of Tien An Investment and Construction Co., Ltd. - Truong Thanh Co., Ltd. - Hoang Minh Co., Ltd. - Bach Dang 282 Industrial Construction Joint Stock Company won the construction package, with a implementation time of 720 days in the form of a package contract.
