On November 27, the Standing Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee issued a decision to discipline Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh - former member of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bao Lam District, term VI, 2021 - 2026, by expelling him from the Party.

As a member of the District Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bao Lam District for the 2021-2026 term, Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh also violated the law on land management, signed decisions on land allocation that were not in accordance with land use planning and not for the right land users, causing damage to the State budget.

Previously, Mr. Thanh was prosecuted and temporarily detained by the Investigation Police Department of Bao Lam District Police for the crime of "Violating regulations on land management".

Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh's violations caused very serious consequences, bad public opinion in society; damaged the reputation of himself and the Party organization, agency, and locality where he worked.

Considering the content, nature, level, consequences of the violation and based on Party regulations, the Standing Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee decided to discipline Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh by expelling him from the Party.

Previously, the People's Council of Bao Lam district passed a resolution to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh from the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bao Lam district, term VI, 2021 - 2026.

The reason is that Mr. Thanh retired from the regime on September 1, 2024 and on October 21, 2024, he was prosecuted and temporarily detained by the Investigation Police Agency of Bao Lam District Police to investigate the crime of "Violating regulations on land management".

Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh's violations were related to the land area rented by Minh Rong Tea Joint Stock Company in Loc Thang town (Bao Lam district) through the implementation of the policy of price conversion of orchards, with a total area of ​​24.5 hectares.

Regarding the violations that occurred at Minh Rong Tea Joint Stock Company, in addition to Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh, the Investigation Police Agency of Bao Lam District Police also prosecuted and temporarily detained 4 other suspects, including: Mr. Nguyen Ba Dong - former Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Bao Lam District; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien - former Officer of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Bao Lam District; Mr. Le Dinh Thuan, Director of Minh Rong Tea Joint Stock Company) and Mr. Nguyen Huu Giang (62 years old), Deputy Director of Minh Rong Tea Joint Stock Company. The subjects were prosecuted for investigation of the crime of "Violating regulations on land management".
