According to reports from the functional sectors and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities in Thanh Hoa province, due to the impact of storm No. 3, as of the afternoon of September 8, in the area, there were 2 people injured by falling trees, 184 houses had their roofs blown off, trees fell on them, house foundations collapsed, and slopes collapsed.
In addition, thousands of hectares of rice and crops were flooded and collapsed; many national highways, provincial roads, inter-district and inter-commune roads (especially in some mountainous districts) were subsided and eroded; more than 100 trees were broken.
After storm No. 3, the functional sectors and localities of Thanh Hoa province organized delegations to inspect and direct the work of overcoming the consequences, supporting people to repair damaged houses; urgently counted the damage and proposed support needs to promptly overcome the consequences caused by natural disasters.
Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Transport coordinates with local People's Committees and related units to mobilize forces, materials, and means to clean up landslide sites, assign guards, set up barriers, and traffic signs at dangerous locations that cause traffic jams.
Also according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, after storm No. 3, in many localities in Thanh Hoa province, many hectares of rice of people who are about to be harvested have collapsed. Therefore, with the rice areas that are 80 to 90% ripe, people are urgently harvesting, while the rice areas that are still green are tied into clumps waiting for the harvest day.
