The Nam Song Ma avenue project (phase 2), connecting National Highway 1A to Sam Son sea, is about 10 km long, with a total investment of more than 2,000 billion VND, divided into 2 component projects.

For the section from Quang Hung ward (old) to the end of Quang Tam ward (old Thanh Hoa city), now Quang Phu ward, Thanh Hoa province, construction started in April 2025.
This section has a length of more than 5.6 km, with a total investment of more than 1,400 billion VND. The project was initially invested by the Thanh Hoa City Construction Investment Project Management Board. After being operated by the local government at 2 levels, the project was transferred to the Thanh Hoa Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board for management.
Recorded up to now, the construction unit is urgently mobilizing machinery, vehicles and workers to deploy roadbed items, drainage systems and auxiliary works.


According to a representative of the leaders of the Thanh Hoa Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project is currently meeting the set schedule. It is expected that by 2027, the project will be completed and put into use.
For component project 2 (section passing through Sam Son ward, Thanh Hoa province) with a length of more than 4 km, with a total investment of nearly 580 billion VND, invested by Sam Son Construction Investment Project Management Board. Recorded to date, the project has basically completed the roadbed, and some sections have been asphalted.
Representatives of the leaders of the Sam Son Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the project is divided into 2 small sections. Up to now, the construction volume has reached about 50-60%.

The remaining volume is not completed because a short section (through the old Quang Tien ward) has not been cleared. The number of affected households is about 100 households, with site clearance costs of about 300 billion VND. Currently, the unit is seeking opinions and proposing to implement according to the new public investment fund source" - representative of the Sam Son Construction Investment Project Management Board informed.
It is known that after completion, Nam Song Ma Avenue (phase 2) will be expanded to 6 lanes. The road is expected to become a vital traffic axis, connecting from National Highway 1A and the central area of Thanh Hoa province to Sam Son beach tourist area, creating a synchronous traffic system, inter-regional connection, meeting socio-economic development needs, contributing to attracting and promoting tourism and service potential in the locality.
