On April 23, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh - Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee chaired a meeting with members of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Khanh Hoa province.
Provincial Party Secretary Nghiem Xuan Thanh highly appreciated the localities for their efforts in building and eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for people.
Of which, Van Ninh and Dien Khanh districts have been 100% completed. Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh suggested that the remaining localities continue to make efforts to build houses for eligible households and families to agree, to be completed before April 30.
In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province will allocate all funding sources to localities according to the list of households and houses eligible for benefits approved by the Steering Committee; focus on directing the completion before April 30 and have a plan to coordinate in organizing the house handover ceremony for households.
According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Khanh Hoa province (as of April 18, 2025), the whole Khanh Hoa province currently has 1,326 households eligible to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. To date, the whole province has completed and put into use 1,005 units, of which 149 were newly built and 856 were repaired. The number of houses under construction (all have started) expected to be completed before April 30, 2025 is 321, of which 313 new houses will be built and 8 houses will be repaired.
The total budget for implementing the Program to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses is estimated at 63.2 billion VND, of which, the Fund for the Poor allocated 53.6 billion VND; support units: 1.5 billion VND and families contributed 8 billion VND.
