On July 9, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province said that the unit has assigned the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee (TSC) to continue monitoring and urging agencies and units to seriously implement the instructions of the Prime Minister, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on ensuring traffic order and safety in the area.
The Provincial Traffic Safety Committee is required to proactively handle arising issues according to its authority, promptly report and advise the Provincial People's Committee to resolve related issues in accordance with regulations.
The Provincial People's Committee also requested the Provincial Police, departments, branches and localities (after the merger, the new communes and wards) to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement key solutions.
In particular, strengthen strong and timely leadership and direction to minimize traffic accidents, ensure the safety of people's lives, health and property.
According to the report of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, in the first quarter of 2025, the whole province had 109 traffic accidents, killing 59 people and injuring 83 people. Compared to the same period in 2024, there was an increase of 17 cases, 2 deaths and 25 injuries.
Also in the first quarter of 2025, the police force in the whole province has drawn up records to handle more than 6,400 cases of traffic safety violations on roads, railways and waterways; fined a total of more than 12 billion VND, revoked nearly 690 driving licenses and temporarily detained more than 830 vehicles of all kinds.
