In August 2025, Chairman of Khanh Hoa province Tran Quoc Nam signed a document directing the management of document and archival work after the merger.
Through the report on the results of the implementation of the task of managing document and archival work in the process of restructuring the apparatus, Khanh Hoa province said that agencies, units and localities have seriously implemented and achieved many positive results.
However, there are still some shortcomings such as: the work of handing over and receiving district-level documents of Ninh Thuan province (before the merger) has not been carried out due to not having statistics and lists; the large amount of documents but most of them have not been edited, still gathered in some communes and wards; the province does not have a specialized archives.
To overcome this, the Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee requested to review, compile statistics and submit records and documents in the Ninh Thuan Provincial Document Forms (before the merger) to the Provincial History Museum in 2025.
Promote the preparation of work records and electronic records, include the results of preparation and submission of records in the criteria for evaluating the level of completion of annual tasks of cadres, civil servants and public employees.
Proactively digitize documents, associated with administrative procedure reform, ensuring progress according to regulations.
The Department of Home Affairs is assigned to urgently prepare an estimate, coordinate with the Department of Finance to appraise the cost of surveying, classifying, statistics and creating a list of district-level documents in Ninh Thuan province (before the merger).
At the same time, advise on a project to handle this document block professionally according to the direction of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
In addition, the Department of Science and Technology is assigned to upgrade and supplement the function of creating electronic records for newly established communes and wards; complete the handover of the digital database of documents of Ninh Thuan province (before the merger) to the Provincial History Museum for exploitation and use.
The Department of Finance is responsible for appraising and submitting for approval additional funding for survey, classification and repair of temporary headquarters to serve as an archive warehouse, ensuring document safety.
