On the afternoon of September 4, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Director of the Provincial Police on the deployment of the Police Team of the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Team (PCCC and CNCH) on the river under the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department.
At the ceremony, the Fire and Rescue Police Department announced decisions on the establishment and deployment of the River-based Fire and Rescue Police Team, and at the same time appointed 2 team-level commanders.
The Head of the Fire and Rescue Police Department also announced the decision to transfer 10 officers and soldiers to work at the new unit.
The River Fire and Rescue Police Team is stationed in Luong Hoa Residential Group, Bac Nha Trang Ward.
The unit is equipped with specialized vehicles and equipment, with the task of being ready to maneuver and handle fire, explosion, and accident incidents on rivers, at sea and in water surface areas in the province.
According to Colonel Le Quang Dong - Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, the birth of the River-based Fire and Rescue Police Team is an important milestone in the process of completing and consolidating the force organization.
The unit will contribute to improving the combat standing capacity, proactively preventing and handling incident risks on waterways.
To quickly stabilize the unit and put it into effective operation, the Deputy Director of the Provincial Police requested the Fire and Rescue Police Department and professional departments to urgently complete the organizational structure and assign specific tasks to each commander.
At the same time, units need to review and decentralize operating areas reasonably between the River Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Team and regional teams, ensuring coverage of high-risk areas; arrange cadres and soldiers suitable to their capacity and strengths; establish directly affiliated party cells and complete internal regulations and working rules.
Training work is also required to be focused on, especially specialized CNCH skills in the water environment, on rivers and at sea. This is a necessary requirement to help officers and soldiers proactively handle situations arising in reality.
The Logistics Department is assigned to coordinate in reviewing and supplementing facilities, especially CNCH vehicles to serve the upcoming rainy and flood season. The Provincial Police will also advise and propose to the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial People's Committee to continue investing in modern equipment for the force.
Colonel Le Quang Dong believes that the collective of officers and soldiers of the River Fire and Rescue Police Team will quickly overcome initial difficulties, promote efficiency from the early days of deployment, contributing to ensuring security, order, safety of life and property of the people.
