Implementing Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW dated January 28, 2022 of the Politburo, Khanh Hoa province has developed a comprehensive project to become a centrally-governed city by 2030.
This is a key political task, of great significance to the comprehensive development of the province in the coming period.
The project not only meets the requirements of socio-economic development, but also carries out the strategic tasks assigned by the Politburo in Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW.
This is also an opportunity for Khanh Hoa to promote its potential and advantages in terms of geographical location, natural conditions and human resources, contributing to improving the quality of life of people and promoting sustainable development.
In order to ensure the implementation of the Project in accordance with the set orientation and goals, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province has directed the Department of Home Affairs to preside over the study and preparation of the Project tasks and the overall Project.
The goal of the Project is to develop a roadmap for implementation along with key tasks, assign specific responsibilities to each department, branch, branch and People's Committee of districts, towns and cities in the province to coordinate synchronous implementation.
Up to now, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province has approved the overall task outline for building Khanh Hoa into a centrally-governed city.
The Department of Home Affairs has advised and implemented specific solutions to achieve two main goals.
Meet the criteria and standards of a type I urban area: Ensure the criteria on population size, urban development rate, technical infrastructure and society so that Khanh Hoa meets the standards of a type I urban area.
The completion of the Project dossier and administrative arrangement includes the establishment of a number of districts, towns, and wards under districts and towns; at the same time, rearranging commune-level administrative units to ensure appropriate scale and urban development rates.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department of Home Affairs to preside over the development of the overall project, expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025.
To effectively implement the Project, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province issued Decision No. 1409 in 2024, approving the Project Estimation cost.
Currently, the Department of Home Affairs is organizing the implementation of the Plan to select contractors to prepare Project Documents according to regulations, ensuring progress and quality of work.
