At exactly 9:00 a.m. on August 19, 2025, the groundbreaking ceremony and inauguration ceremony of key projects and works will take place across the country to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The country will have 80 selected bridges spanning 34 provinces and cities with a total of 250 projects being started and inaugurated simultaneously. Of these, the health sector will have 4/10 projects selected as online and direct connecting points.
The two major health projects that are noticed are the Central Obstetrics Hospital, Facility 2 and the Central Children's Hospital, Facility 2, both located in Kieu Phu commune, Hanoi.

The Central Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Facility 2, has an investment of nearly 950 billion VND, built on a land area of nearly 60,000 m2 with a construction area of over 8,400 m2. The project consists of 6 floors above ground, one technical floor and one attic floor, designed to be modern, optimal for functionality and environmentally friendly.
When put into operation, the new facility will have a scale of 300 inpatient beds, capable of receiving about 1,000 visits per day. Here, the hospital organizes 11 clinical departments, 4 paraclinical departments and many functional departments such as coordination, customer care, pharmacy, pharmacy, technical logistics... to simultaneously serve the needs of high-quality outpatient examination and long-term inpatient treatment.
All synchronous medical equipment has been installed, many digital technology and artificial intelligence applications have been put into operation, towards a smart, green and digital hospital model. The human resources team is also carefully prepared with reasonable transfers from facility 1, including many experienced experts directly involved in operations.

The National Children's Hospital, Facility 2, has a total investment of more than VND 880 billion, built on a 6-hectare land with a construction area of about 7,530 m2.
The project includes an administrative block, a paraclinical block, two 5-storey inpatient treatment blocks with a basement and many synchronous technical infrastructure.
The hospital is arranged with 300 inpatient beds in a spacious and comfortable space, meeting the long-term care needs of children and relatives. The outpatient examination system with reception area, clinics, and emergency care has been completed, ready to receive patients from the first day of operation.

All modern medical equipment such as testing, imaging diagnosis, emergency resuscitation and operating room systems have been tested, fully meeting the technical and professional safety standards of the Ministry of Health. In addition, the pharmaceutical and medical supplies warehouse has been imported and preserved in accordance with regulations, and the hospital pharmacy is also ready to serve.
Regarding human resources, the team of leading doctors and experts from facility 1 will be rotated to work at facility 2, to ensure that all pediatric patients have access to equivalent professional quality, while creating unity in the treatment process.
