On the morning of July 13, the Steering Committee of the Campaign "500 days and nights to promote the search, repatriation and identification of martyrs' remains" of Dien Khanh commune organized a field survey of locations suspected of having martyrs' graves that have not been repatriated.
The working delegation included representatives of the Provincial Military Command, leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Dien Khanh commune, along with members of the Steering Committee, the team for searching and repatriating martyrs' remains, historical witnesses, people providing information about martyrs, martyrs' graves, and local representatives.
According to the review results, there are currently 249 sets of remains of martyrs in the commune.
Of which, 122 remains have been repatriated, 63 cases have information but have not been repatriated, and 64 cases have not been identified for repatriation locations.

Based on comparing archival records, maps, historical documents and information from witnesses, the Steering Committee identified 4 key areas that need to be further verified.
The Cau Thanh - Dien Khanh area, including Cau Thanh, Thanh ferry wharf, Cai riverbank, Dong Mon 2 area and land plots along the city, has 18 cases out of 63 cases with information but not yet collected.
The Thanh Dien Khanh - Dong Mon 1 Prison area has 15 cases.
The area of Dien An commune (old), mainly in Vo Kien and An Ninh villages (old) and the Mieu Ba Sau area (Phu An Nam 2 village, near Thien Loc Pagoda and Ong Thach Temple) has 16 cases.
The Dien Toan area (old), concentrated in Phuoc Trach, Suoi Nuoc Do and Song Den (also known as Song Dong Den), has 10 cases.
After reviewing and evaluating the level of information concentration, survey conditions and verification capacity, the Steering Committee unanimously selected the Cau Thanh area and Dien Khanh Prison as two priority survey locations in the initial phase.
For the remaining areas, the Steering Committee continues to collect and verify information to serve the search work.
At the survey points, the working group inspected the field, compared dossiers, recorded the current situation, determined coordinates and received additional information to serve the verification work.
The delegation also surveyed unidentified martyrs' graves at Suoi Hiep Martyrs' Cemetery to supplement the database to serve the work of identifying martyrs' remains.
