Listening to it, many people easily mistakenly think this is a tease, but hidden behind it is a humane, meaningful story. From a young age, Mr. Quyet had the habit of observing his grandfather making homemade toys from simple household items. That image sows in his mind a passion for creativity. Since he was a pedagogical student, Mr. Quyet has been famous for his habit of collecting scrap and asking for lost items from programs and events. With a familiar bag on his shoulder, he quietly "picked up" pieces of cardboard, plastic bottles, cans... to make tools, school supplies and even small toys for students.
"S gradually, after the product is completed, it is widely shared on social networks and is enthusiastically responded to by everyone. This nickname has since been associated with a positive and creative image from the trash" - Mr. Quyet said.
An important milestone in the journey to spread the green lifestyle is the project "Mini Museum of Wasteful Learning Equipment" built by him since 2021. The products displayed and shared on social networks have received much attention and encouragement from colleagues, students, parents and the community. Those positive responses are the "push" for young teachers to trust and continue their passion for creativity and recycling from waste.
"Luckily, each scrap product brings special excitement to students. An intuitive model recycled from familiar materials attracts attention, making teaching lessons more lively, said Mr. Quyet.
For this teacher, "garbage is not useless waste, but a valuable resource". That viewpoint becomes a guideline in the creative journey. Each scrap item hand-crafted by Mr. Quyet can be turned into a lively learning tool.
In addition, this is also an effective educational tool, helping students have a deeper awareness of the responsibility to protect the environment and the meaning of waste recycling.
riding on green practices and living green should be integrated in education so that students can both learn knowledge and form sustainable habits, Mr. Quyet affirmed.
