On December 19, welcoming the 14th National Congress of the Party, Vingroup Corporation simultaneously promoted 11 projects, including: Olympic urban sports area in Hanoi with the highlight being Trong Dong Stadium; Ha Long Xanh and Cam Ranh super urban chain; Hung Yen social housing; Song Tri urban area, Ha Tinh; Vincom Plaza Vinh, Nghe An; Tuan Chau - Quang Ninh public park; Ben Thanh - Can Gio high-speed railway; two Vin Metal Power Plants and Vinh Anh Steel Factory.
These are foundational projects in the fields of urban development, infrastructure, green energy and heavy industry, contributing to creating strong growth momentum in the future.
In particular, the focus of the urban development sector is the groundbreaking ceremony of the Olympic Sports Urban Area Construction Investment Project in Thuong Phuc Commune (Hanoi).
Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Olympic Sports Urban Area Construction Investment Project.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vingroup Corporation (representative of the investor of the Olympic Sports Urban Area Project) said that the project has an area of over 9,171 hectares, with a total investment of about VND 925,000 billion - marking it the largest urban area in Vietnam when expanding to 11 communes.
With a strategic location at the southern gateway of Hanoi, the Olympic sports urban area is located at the heart of Ring Road 3.5, Ring Road 4, National Highway 1A, Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway and especially the successor to Ngoc Hoi Station, opening up a direction for the development of a sports urban area combined with modern and potential public transport.

The project is planned into 4 areas with the goal of creating a sports urban area, a service urban area associated with an international-level sports complex, contributing to enhancing the position of the capital Hanoi on the map of continental and international sports and culture, creating momentum for sustainable development for many decades.
The heart of the sports complex is a national project - Trong Dong Stadium is deployed on an area of 73.3 hectares, with a capacity of up to 135,000 seats, designed as a FIFA-standard stadium with the largest capacity and automatic roof.
In addition to the record for scale, Trong Dong is also the most unique stadium on the planet, with design details imbued with Vietnamese cultural sound, imbued with the unique patterns of Dong Son bronze drums, creating a project that is both modern and symbolic of Vietnamese spirit.
In particular, the stadium is positioned as a green and smart project, integrated with AI with the ability to replace the stadium surface in 6-10 hours; smart seats connected to 5G; real-time security and traffic control; collect - recycle water to save 70% of clean water; prevent heat absorption and UV rays; naturally ventilate to reduce air conditioning energy, reduce noise...
This is also a stadium with a specially designed VVIP area, meeting the standards of welcoming international heads of state in important events.
It is expected that Trong Dong Stadium will be completed in August 2028.
