The Hanoi People's Committee has issued Decision No. 5397/QD-UBND on approving the Olympic Sports Urban Zoning Plan - Area A, scale 1/2000. The decision was signed and issued by Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan.
The scale of the study on the Olympic Sports Urban Zoning Plan, scale 1/2000 is about 16,081 hectares. The scale of the Olympic Sports Urban Zoning Plan - Area A, scale 1/2000 is about 3,280 hectares. The planning period is until 2045, with a vision to 2065.
Accordingly, the Olympic Sports Urban Area - Area A is oriented to be a place to gather international-level sports facilities including stadiums, athletes training academies, sports complexes and "Olympic villages" and integrate an ecological urban system, tourism, trade and services.
The Olympic Sports Urban Zoning Plan - Area A contributes to realizing the orientation of the Hanoi Capital Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, meeting the standards for organizing the Asian Games (ASIAD) and the future Olympic Games.
According to the decision, the planning area is located within the administrative boundaries of Thanh Liet ward and the communes of Dai Thanh, Ngoc Hoi, Tam Hung, Thuong Tin, Binh Minh.
The boundary is determined: the North borders Phan Trong Tue Street, the South borders Ring Road 4, the East borders the existing residential area and Ngoc Hoi Industrial Cluster, the West borders the C4 urban subdivision.
The Architectural Planning Project Management Board (Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture) is the planning organizer; the appraisal agency is the Department of Planning and Architecture, the approval agency is the Hanoi People's Committee. The project implementation period is not more than 9 months from the date the task is approved.
