The project is about 65km long, starting at La Son town (Phu Loc district, Hue city), ending at Hoa Lien intersection (Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city). The total investment is more than 3,000 billion VND from the state budget, with the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board as the investor.
The expressway is designed to reach a speed of 60 - 80 km/h, with a scale of 4 lanes and a 22m wide roadbed.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh emphasized that the project will contribute to completing the regional transport infrastructure, improving exploitation capacity, ensuring safety, promoting regional connectivity and ensuring national defense and security.
The Ministry of Construction requested the locality to promptly complete site clearance, resettlement, support in granting licenses for material mines, arranging dumping sites, ensuring security and order during construction. Relevant units are required to ensure progress, quality, safety, and avoid negativity and waste.
