At about 2:00 p.m. on March 10, at the entrance to Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway at Ba Bau intersection in Ham Kiem Commune, Ham Thuan Nam District, Binh Thuan Province, a dry grass fire broke out.

At the scene, the fire was engulfed in flames combined with strong winds, causing the fire to splash onto the road leading to the highway where a car was traveling. Smoke rose foggyly, causing cars traveling through the burning location to have limited visibility, making it impossible to see the vehicles in front.

According to records, this location is a large dry grass field, so it is very easy for fire to spread. The fire burning close to the road for vehicles is also very dangerous, easily catching fire, spreading to cars if there is strong wind.

The fire location near the crossing ensured traffic of the patrol unit, so the on-duty staff informed the unit and deployed to put out the fire.
