According to information from Gia Hanh commune, at around 10:15 p.m. on August 20, Ms. T.T.L (33 years old, residing in Gia Hanh commune) reported that her husband, Mr. P.D.T (34 years old), took a knife and locked the gate, the house door, and did not allow his wife, children, or parents to come out.
The husband's actions showed signs of panic, causing fear and potential threat to the health and lives of family members.
After receiving the report, Gia Hanh Commune Police arrived at the scene, but the gate and door of Mr. T's house were locked.
After trying to convince Mr. T not to open the door, it was not until about 11:45 p.m. the same day that Mr. T let his family open the door.
When the police arrived, Mr. T continued to bring the knife to the second floor of the bedroom to lock the door and barricaded himself inside. The commune police coordinated with the family and local authorities to persuade the subject to open the door, but the subject did not cooperate.
At around 0:30 on August 21, the subject was electrocuted to commit suicide in the room, but the Commune Police promptly broke the door to control him, then together with his family took the subject to Nghe An Mental Hospital for treatment.
Previously, on August 12, Mr. H.A.D (born in 1986, residing in Yen Son village, Ky Anh commune, Ha Tinh province) was a person with signs of mental illness, holding a knife and standing in the middle of the road, causing relatives and many passersby to panic and fear, causing traffic obstruction.
After receiving the report, Ky Anh Commune Police coordinated with security forces at the facility to quickly control the subject, then together with relatives took him to Nghe An Provincial Mental Hospital for treatment.
