On October 28, My Thuy Commune Police confirmed that this unit had promptly rescued 2 people and a truck carrying frozen seafood stuck on National Highway 49C due to deep flooding.
Accordingly, at around 3:00 a.m. on October 28, the truck with license plate 18H-019.xx was traveling from Quang Tri to Hue. When it reached the section of National Highway 49C through Dong Duong village (My Thuy commune), it stalled and was stuck in the flooded area. There were 2 people and a seafood truck.
After receiving the report, My Thuy Commune Police deployed a rescue plan in the conditions of rapid flood water and limited visibility. The authorities approached the scene and brought the two people on the bus to safety.
After ensuring the safety of people, My Thuy Commune Police coordinated with local people to organize vehicle rescue by using boats, ropes, available vehicles and mobilizing support vehicles to pull - push, move goods from flooded areas, limit damage.
Previously, the authorities of My Thuy commune had set up a border guard and traffic diversion to avoid people and vehicles entering the danger zone, but the truck driver was still subjective.
