In mid-September, in Bat Xat commune, Lao Cai province, the story of Ban Qua Industrial Park is receiving attention from people, especially households located in the planned land acquisition area.
Many people expressed their agreement with the policy of developing industrial parks because they expect the project to create more jobs and expand economic development opportunities right in the locality.
Along with that, people want to be guaranteed housing, livelihoods and community cultural values when land is recovered.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, Bat Xat commune, said that people hope that Ban Qua Industrial Park will be implemented soon so that the locality has more motivation to develop, and children in the commune have the opportunity to find jobs right in their hometown.
According to Ms. Hoa, if compensation, support and resettlement arrangement are implemented appropriately, people will be assured to hand over the land and accompany the project.
Through investigation, Ban Qua Industrial Park was approved for investment policy and investor approval by Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 2170 dated June 23, 2026.
The project has a scale of 76.39 ha, oriented towards an ecological industrial park, with a total investment of about 1,360 billion VND, and a operating term of 50 years.

It is expected that in the fourth quarter of 2027, the project will complete infrastructure investment and put it into operation, gradually attracting secondary investors.
To implement the project, about 250 households and 1 organization are expected to have their land recovered. Of which, about 145 households are original owners and 43 arising cases need to be considered for resettlement arrangement.
In Ban Ven, people proposed to be arranged for resettlement on the spot, near the old Tan Hong resettlement area to facilitate living, maintain community relations and customs.
People also hope to be supported with vocational training and job conversion when production land is recovered.
Another content that people are interested in is the forbidden forest, the spiritual forest of the community.
This is a space associated with the beliefs and cultural life of the Giay people, so people want to preserve it during the project implementation process.

According to the plan being studied, the prohibited forest area is oriented to maintain the status quo, limit leveling and impacting to change the landscape.
At the meeting on September 15, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Chairman of Bat Xat Commune People's Committee acknowledged the wishes of the people, including the proposal to arrange resettlement near the current residence.
Commune leaders believe that land acquisition will change the production methods of a part of households.
Therefore, the locality will continue to review the needs for vocational training, vocational training, career change and employment to have appropriate support plans.

Along with propaganda and mobilization of people to agree to implement the project, Bat Xat commune also proposed that investors and secondary investors pay attention to using local labor when conditions are met, creating opportunities for people to switch to industrial and service jobs.
Ban Qua Industrial Park is expected to create more development momentum for Bat Xat.
Gradually removing issues that people are concerned about is an important part for the project to be implemented smoothly, and at the same time help people stabilize their lives after handing over the land.
