On June 24, the Provincial Steering Committee for the search, collection and identification of martyrs' remains (BCD 515) held a conference to summarize the implementation of the task of searching, collecting martyrs' remains and identifying the remains of martyrs with missing information in the period of 2021 - 2025.
According to the report of Steering Committee 515, the whole Kien Giang province has 22,774 martyrs' graves. Of which, there are 20,774 martyrs' graves in cemeteries in the province (tombs with sufficient information 4,730, graves with partial information 5,378, graves without information 10,586, graves without remains 66. collective graves with 204 remains and 53 packages). The martyrs' cemetery is managed by the family to take care of 1,573 graves.
In the 2021-2025 period, Team K92 searched for and collected 249 martyrs' remains (85 remains in Cambodia, 164 remains in the province; of which 7 martyrs' remains have been identified by authentication method).
The reception and repatriation of the remains of martyrs who died during wartime in Cambodia is directed to be organized closely and thoughtfully. At the same time, a solemn death anniversary was held, burying 249 martyrs' remains at Hon Dat District Martyrs' Cemetery and Ha Tien City Martyrs' Cemetery according to regulations.
Every year, the task force has authorized the Government to award support funds to provinces (Koh Kong, Preah Sihanouk, Kam Pot and Kep) of the Kingdom of Cambodia to participate in the search and collection of martyrs' remains, from 2021 - 2025, a total amount of 208,000 USD; give 391 gifts, worth more than 134 billion VND; organize medical examination and treatment, provide free medicine to 1,300 people...

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Cao Minh Tam, Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Command of Kien Giang province, emphasized: Collecting martyrs' remains is a noble political and profound human task that demonstrates the traditional morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" and "When eating, remember the tree growers" of our nation. This is not only a responsibility but also an order from the heart.
Kien Giang province strives to complete the search, gathering and concluding of areas and areas with information about martyrs' graves by 2030; complete a complete, scientific and close-to-the-real-life information management system for martyrs and martyrs' graves.
Colonel Cao Minh Tam suggested continuing to synchronously and drastically deploy solutions to speed up the progress and effectiveness of the search and collection of martyrs' remains. Strengthen information, propaganda, and mobilization of domestic and foreign organizations and individuals to actively participate; strengthen international cooperation to provide information, documents, witnesses, etc. about martyrs and martyrs' graves to serve the search and collection of martyrs' remains.

Promote the spirit of initiative and responsibility, overcome difficulties; both performing tasks and doing propaganda and mobilizing to collect information about martyrs and martyrs' graves.
