On the morning of June 18, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha led Working Group No. 5 on direction and guidance on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units (new) to work with Long Bien district to grasp the implementation situation and resolve difficulties in the process of preparing to operate the new government model.
At the meeting, the Working Group listened to reports from district leaders, representatives of specialized departments, offices and comrades expected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committees of the 4 new wards. The opinions reflected on a number of difficulties in the work of organizing the apparatus, arranging facilities, working headquarters, handing over finance - budget and ongoing projects.
Notably, Vice Chairman of Long Bien District People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Hang proposed that the city soon have unified instructions on signs for new administrative units, to avoid the situation where each place has a different model. At the same time, Ms. Hang proposed to have a specific orientation in naming residential groups, especially those with similar names and numbers due to the merger process.
Regarding the issue of signs, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Chi Doan said that there is currently no general standard model, so localities are flexibly implementing it in the spirit of promoting creativity. However, Mr. Doan also said that unifying a mold is necessary to ensure consistency across the city.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha requested Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Chi Doan to report to the Department's leaders to advise the City People's Committee to issue specific and unified instructions on the content and form of administrative signs. In cases where there are no general regulations, it is necessary to urgently develop temporary guidance documents to apply synchronously, avoiding the situation of disruption and lack of unity between localities.
Regarding the issue of naming residential groups, according to Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Chi Doan, there are currently specific regulations in the Law on Organization of Local Government. The naming is under the authority of the People's Council at the ward level, on the basis of ensuring convenience for management and suitability with the actual situation of the area after the merger.
