On August 11, ship KN466 of Fisheries Surveillance Team No. 4, which was patrolling in the Phu Quy Special Zone sea area, received news that a fisherman had a labor accident at sea, so it quickly approached to support.
The victim is Mr. Huynh Tan Soi (born 1987, living in Quang Ngai), captain of the fishing boat KH 97689TS, with 9 crew members on board.

At about 7 am on the same day, when the fishing boat was fishing about 60 nautical miles from Phu Quy Special Zone, the boat encountered a steering engine problem. During repairs, Mr. Soi was hit in the right hand by the steering wheel, had his wrist severed, fractured bones and lost a lot of blood, then fell into a coma.
Upon receiving information, ship KN466 contacted and guided the crew members to give first aid and maneuver to the location of the fishing vessel in wind conditions of level 5-6, waves about 2.5 m high.
At 2:30 PM on the same day, ship KN466 approached and brought the victim to the ship. The rescue team stopped the bleeding, fixed the broken arm and resuscitated. After first aid, Mr. Soi was awake and able to communicate.
It is expected that when arriving at Phu Quy port, the victim will be taken to the Phu Quy Special Military-Civilian Medical Center for further treatment.
