The second meeting, XIV term of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour was held in Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of June 20 under the chairmanship of Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Nguyen Anh Tuan.
At the conference, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu presented a summary of the draft report on the results of trade union activities in the first 6 months of the year and key tasks for the last 6 months of the year; Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party, Resolution of the 11th Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress; Presentation of the full-term working program of the Executive Committee of the 14th General Confederation.
Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong presented the draft report on the results of Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026.
Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Nguyen Xuan Hung presented the draft working regulations of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the 14th General Confederation, term 2026 - 2031; Report on receiving and completing the Charter of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union; Report on draft guidelines for implementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; Report on summarizing 15 years of implementing Resolution 6a/NQ-TLĐ dated January 6, 2011 of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (X term) on continuing to innovate the content, methods and improve the quality of grassroots trade union activities and Conclusion No. 02/KL-TLĐ dated March 17, 2021 of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour on continuing to implement Resolution 6a/NQ-TLĐ; Report on the results of union member development and establishment of grassroots trade unions in the first 6 months of the year and directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2026; Working regulations of the Inspection Committee of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of
Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Le Van Nghia publicly presents the 2026 trade union financial estimate.
At the conference, members of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor discussed and contributed many important opinions to the major contents of the above drafts and submissions, focusing on the activities of commune and ward trade unions, special zones, industrial park trade unions, and trade union charters.
Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Anh Tuan highly appreciated the preparation of drafts and reports.
Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Nguyen Anh Tuan also proposed to soon complete and concretize the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 11th Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress; the full-term working program of the Executive Committee of the 14th General Confederation and important documents of the congress, for trade union levels to implement.
At the same time, it is proposed that provincial and city labor federations and industry trade unions proactively stick to the actual situation and be flexible in management to ensure that trade union activities are always close to workers and laborers.
For issues that are still difficult and problematic in practice, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will summarize and report to competent functional agencies for consideration and decision.
