Major projects have reached the finish line
At the 1st National Party Congress of the Ministry of Construction held in early August 2025, delegates looked back on a period of time gone by with many challenges.
Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister Tran Hong Minh emphasized: In recent times, the Party Committee and the Ministry of Construction have identified and correctly identified the main advantages, bottlenecks, bottlenecks and breakthroughs to focus on effective implementation.
Thereby, the Party Committee and the Ministry of Construction have achieved many outstanding results, many major transport projects have been and are reaching the finish line.
Speaking at the Congress, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh shared that the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress had set out many major goals: Complete 3,000km of highway, 1,000km of coastline...
At that time, we did not dare to think about investing in high-speed railways but only thought about removing difficulties for urban railway projects.
To date, transport infrastructure has made a breakthrough in all 5 areas. In the coming time, the target of 3,000km of road will be completed, the expressway will be connected from Cao Bang to Ca Mau.
Or with the Long Thanh International Airport project, the Prime Minister did not forget the time at the end of 2022, early 2023 when he inspected and reported, there were no signs, no signatures, meaning there were no activities. GPMB still has many problems.
But at present, the removal of obstacles has changed a lot, the project meets the schedule, and is basically to be completed in 2025. That is something that no one dares to think about before a "mountain" of work needs to be solved.
The rapidity and formation of airports opens up a huge development space, followed by urban areas, jobs, and livelihoods for people and service areas. Reality proves that any province with good infrastructure development will have double-digit growth such as: Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh... Without good infrastructure, good people, and no investors will come, said the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister also emphasized: In the 2020 - 2025 term, more than 600,000 billion VND has been invested in transportation, accounting for 24% of the country's development investment. This is the added value that the industry has.
Towards a large, sustainable project for the 2025 - 2030 term
The 2025 - 2030 term will be an important milestone. The Party Committee of the Ministry of Construction for the 2025-2030 term identified 6 key tasks and 3 strategic breakthroughs to improve leadership capacity, operational efficiency and create clear changes in the entire industry.
