On September 16, Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Tan Uyen town bypass project (now Tan Uyen commune). This is the project selected to start construction to celebrate the 15th Lai Chau Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
The project is invested by the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board. The project is over 3.1km long and is designed according to the standards of a level 60 urban road scale ( designed speed of 60km/h according to TCXDVN 104:207) with 4 lanes for motor vehicles.
The route has a roadbed width of 35m, road surface width of 2x9.5m, sidewalk width of 2x7m, median strip of 2m, including items: roadbed, road surface, drainage works, protective works and traffic safety system. The total investment is 100 billion VND, from the central budget.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Giang A Tinh - Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the units assigned the task of promoting a high sense of responsibility, competing to achieve practical achievements to welcome the Provincial Party Congress, so that the project becomes a bright spot in the development of transport infrastructure in the province.
